Availability
Most users with non-Trimble DGPS and RTK receivers will be able to use the service. Contact us if you require specific assessment of your receiver suitability. Trimble users must have either Trimble Survey Controller™ or TerraSync® software loaded into their controller.
Getting Connected
You will require a controller or receiver equipped with GPRS / 3G capability. Alternatively, a bluetooth and GPRS / 3G mobile phone can be used.
As an iBASE user, you accrue charges in two ways. Firstly, there is an iBASE correction data subscription, which is a contract between you and GeoSystems. Secondly, you will be responsible for mobile data charges resulting from data communications between the iBASE server and your controller / data collector. This is a contract between you and either Telecom or Vodafone.
Price Plans
There is a range of standard iBASE packages which offer full RTK (GPS or GNSS), DGPS, and Post-Processed data. These are available on plans from 1 day through to a full year. Discounts apply for multiple users in a single company. For a service application form, email service@ibase.co.nz.
Mobile Data Plans: Telecom and Vodafone
Both of these cellular service providers offer a range of plans. To choose the correct plan for your usage, calculate how many hours per month you expect to use the iBASE service, then multiple by 720 kb for each hour.
