The Service
High Accuracy Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) GPS Positioning has revolutionised the survey and construction world, bringing with it unprecedented productivity gains. The iBASE network, based on Trimble technology, is a real-time RTK and DGPS corrections service, delivered to the user by cellular technology. Base stations spread across New Zealand provide continuous data streams which are managed and delivered by iBASE's central server. To use iBASE, a user logs on through a password-protected connection, starting a data stream over a cellular connection and then, via cable or bluetooth, to the GPS device.
Coverage
High Resolution RTK > 20km (Surveying & Machine Control), Control Search RTK > 100km (Survey Pegs & Control Marks), DGPS > 300km (Mapping).DGPS coverage is New Zealand wide. RTK coverage is provided in 16 different areas. Further expansion to other main centres is planned, contact us to register your interest. Additional coverage can be arranged as required.
